Six Months already??

Hannah has already turned 6 months old. Every day she's closer to a one-year old than a newborn! Make the growing stop already!!

She is so precious. Happy most of the time, and LOVES her mama. She cries if she sees me walking out of the room, even if she had been playing happily. She loves to sit in her boppy pillow on the floor, or play in her exersaucer. She loves her toy rings and the tags on her taggie blanket.

She had a rough month--it started as a little cold and cough, then one night I thought I heard a dog barking in her room. During the day the cough wasn't as bad, but that evening she had a rough spell where she was having trouble catching her breath. It was so scary! After our nurse friend Mrs. Vicki made a housecall to check her out, we went to Urgent Care with her. She had croup, poor thing. A steroid helped her sleep well that night and the barking cough went away. The next week when she still had the cold and wasn't sleeping well at night, I finally took her to the pediatrician to confirm she had a double ear infection. Poor thing! She's all better now after some good antibiotics.











Her milestones this month include sitting up, eating lots of new foods (sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, applesauce, bananas, rice cereal, and oatmeal), and sleeping even longer (when she's not sick she usually sleeps from 8:00 pm to 5:00 or 6:00, then nurses and goes back to sleep until 8:00 am).

She's not crawling yet, but sometimes when she's on her tummy she gets up on her hands and kicks her legs like she wants to go somewhere. I'm perfectly content with her staying still for a while longer!
