On Christmas Eve she got a new purple baby doll. Even though she has over 10 other babies at home, she will never grow weary of getting a new one. She loved on it all day and even took it into the Christmas Eve service. She also got a Hello Kitty rolling suitcase.
Christmas morning she was so excited to see that Santa had brought her a Dora and Ponyville! Anyone who asks her what she got for Christmas hears "I got a Dora for Christmas! And Ponybill!" Ponyville was something she asked for out of the blue a couple of weeks ago--and since she kept asking I knew Santa had to deliver. I didn't want to get the huge set she had in mind, but Santa found an inexpensive one and she was happy!
Santa also delivered a ginormous doll house. I found this dollhouse at the consignment sale last March for only $20!! Chris grudgingly brought it to our attic where it's been waiting for Christmas. When he brought it down a few days before Christmas, I was SHOCKED at how large it was. Would you believe it actually had three stories and we took one off?? It was nearly as tall as me!!
Needless to say Santa started second guessing whether the doll house should go back to the attic...but decided to deliver it since she'll get years of play out of it. At least that's what he's hoping.
To play in the dollhouse, she got the Fisher Price Loving Family dolls, and some doll furniture from my mom's old doll house. I played with that furniture when I was little, and got it from Grandma's attic a few weeks ago.
Claire also got TWO new Dora videos--her favorite is Dora Saves the Mermaids, followed by Dora Saves the Snow Princess.
Not too long after we opened presents she was sitting on the couch with Daddy watching her new video.
That evening at my uncle's house, she got a SWEET handmade hat and scarf from my aunt. She just loves it! In fact, yesterday was a warm day so we were headed out to play, no jackets or anything, but Claire really wanted to wear her scarf!
The day after Christmas at our extended family gathering, Claire got a Dora dress. (The next day she told me it was her Dora Princess dress, and she wanted to wear it so she would smell like a princess. Ha!)
She was pretty wound up all day and ran around the house like a hooligan!
At present time she got another doll, which she named Mariana (AH-nah, not Aann-a, she will correct you!), after the mermaid in her Dora video. Mariana is a doll that has a mermaid dress and swims in the bathtub!
She also got Dora books and a Dora music player. Note her sweaty head!
Can you say Dora overload? She is sooo happy though!
