A giveaway...how do they do this?

Since I am new to the blogging community, I continue to be amazed at the awesome giveaways some blogs have! How do they do it??

Check out this one from Vanilla Joy - she's giving away a huge mini-box (is that an oxymoron?) for scrapbooking! Boy, this would be an awesome prize to win! There is no way I could afford that on my own, but how awesome it would be to have it! My scrapbook nook in the bedroom would not be such a sore sight, for sure!
